Show girls some đź’• this Valentine's Weekend
FEBRUARY 14TH, 2020
It’s Valentine’s Day, and that’s got us thinking about love, love, love! For many folks it’s also a long weekend and a chance to spend a little extra time with our families. That’s why we’re sharing five of our favorite ways to bond with girls and show them some love:
Create Art
Valentine’s Day weekend is the perfect time for an art project! Gather some fun "art supplies" to upcycle from around the house, or pick up some supplies and get creative. You can decorate hearts, make a gift for a friend, or express your love for each other with paint or crayons
Rock Out
If you missed the list of our favorite girl power songs, check it out! We've put together a fun collection of songs perfect for an impromptu dance party, or background music for science experiments or just hanging out around the house.
Read
This is one of our all time favorite activities to do together. Grab a book off your shelf, or check our list of 5 Books for Strong Girls for some ideas. Reading is a great way to bond and depending on the book, can lead to some important conversations.
Go Outside
Kids love to be outside—even when it’s chilly out. So bundle up and spend a little time outside together. That might mean playing in the back yard, going on a neighborhood expedition, or trying something a little more adventurous like skiing or hiking.
Snuggle Up With a Movie or Show
We’re big fans of avoiding screen time, but sometimes it’s nice to snuggle up with some popcorn and relax together. You can find a couple of recommendations and more info about how movies and tv shows can impact girls on our blog.
We hope your weekend is full of love!
